We’re so excited to announce that the documentary Fire & Iceland, is available from today in US & UK on Amazon Prime and Worldwide on Vimeo. We are immensely grateful to have been invited to take part in this amazing project by the filmmakers April Anderson & Martin Chytil, and to assist to the world Theatrical Premiere who took place on March 19 at the Bíó Paradís theater in Reykjavik. (Pictures and reviews of the event available on FB)

The documentary was filmed over the course of the eruption, and shows not only breathtaking images but also presents interviews of people from different backgrounds and walks of live describing their experiences, bringing the feelings to be witness of the unrivalled beauty and primal power of the eruption but also the challenges, science and magic of the volcanic life.

Featuring the Search and Rescue (SAR) Project Manager Guðbrandur Örn Arnarson and several members of SAR teams, Helicopter pilot Sandra Ólafsdóttir, Songwriter, performer and actress (Netflix series Katla) Guðrún Ýr Eyfjörð (GDRN), visual artist Guðmundur Óli Pálmason, Award-winning photographer – the “Volcano Guy” – Ragnar Th Sigurðsson, the Icelandic Lava Show co-creator Júlíus Ingi Jónsson, the Reykjavik Grapevine editor-in-chief Valur Grettisson, the geologist and Ph.D. candidate Helga Kristin Torfadóttir, Adam and many others.
